What does a YWAM Base need as far as staff to run a successful Web Site.

You may be a base that does not have any technical people on board and very little I.T. infrastructure. That in itself is not a problem although it does mean that you will possibly need to start with something smaller. From a technical point of view, if your web site is developed externally and you are given tools to manage your web site then you will not need a high level of expertise to administer it. More importantly is a staff member who is comfortable with computers and can act as the overall admin contact.

I must emphasise that unless everyone at a base becomes involved with the Web Site and gains some ownership of it your site will not succeed. I have seen many bases where they have a web site but most of the staff and students are unable to even tell you what the address of it is. It is defiantly not a project to be allocated to the I.T. "Geek" and left alone. Read the Reef to Outback case study for an example of a base that has incorporated their Web Site into the Base culture.
